Crock Pot Chicken and Gravy

Oh my goodness! I love this recipe! I felt like I was having thanksgiving dinner, but without all the work. All you have to do is put all the ingredients in the crockpot, put on the lid, and turn it on. It is one of those recipes that everyone likes and they think you slaved in the kitchen for. I served it over Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes.

Crockpot Chicken and Gravy

2 (0.87 oz) packets dry chicken gravy
1 (10.75 oz) can cream of chicken soup
2 cups water
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Garlic powder
Pepper, to taste
1/8 cup sour cream (optional)
Rice or mashed potatoes (Slow Cooker Mashed Potato Recipe)

1. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder and pepper. 
2. In crockpot, whisk together the gravy packets, cream of chicken, and water. 
3. Add chicken and cover with gravy. 
4. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours. 
5. Shred chicken
6. Stir in sour cream, if using. 
7. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
