Healthy Breakfast Ideas

Healthy Breakfast Ideas:

1. Small bowl of whole-grain Cereal with skim milk. (Examples: Grape Nuts, Shredded Wheat, Raisin Bran, Fiber One, etc)

2. Scrambles Eggs - This is a good source of protein. If you are worried about it being too fattening, you can use egg whites only or a mixture of both.

3. Fruit Parfait: This is so simple to make. You could also make a few of these in advance if you don't have time to make them in the morning. All you need is plain vanilla yogurt, fresh fruit (cut into small chunks), and granola.

4. Breakfast on the Go: Whole wheat bagel with light cream cheese or peanut butter, banana, apple, string cheese, granola bar, go-gurt, To-Go Applesauce. Stock your fridge with these items, so you don't miss breakfast which is the most important meal of the day. Why is that....because it is the meal that gets your metabolism up and running for the day.

5. Green Smoothie: I always thought adding vegetables to a smoothie sounded so disgusting, but I decided to push my stupid thoughts away and give it a try. And Guess what? It's really not that different. I had the occasional chunk of spinach in mine, but that's only because I have a crappy blender and ran out of time in the morning. No but seriously, I could barely even taste it and it's an easy way to get some vegetables into your diet. Check out my Green Smoothie Recipe.

6. Whole grain pancakes. Top with a small amount of peanut butter, honey, syrup, or a combination of them. You can even cut up a banana or strawberries to put on top.

7. Whole wheat toast with jam or peanut butter and a banana.

8. Turkey bacon and eggs

9. Egg omelet

10. Whole wheat French toast with banana slices on top.
