Smokey Mesquite BBQ Bacon Burger

My husband doesn't like mayonnaise so when I saw this recipe, I knew I had to make it. This BBQ Bacon Burger has lots of flavor and was a huge hit. It is the best burger I have ever made. This definitely is a family favorite.

Smokey Mesquite BBQ Bacon Burger Recipe

1 lb ground beef
1/2 pkg kraft smokey mesquite BBQ breadcrumbs (found by the cheese)
Salt and pepper
1 egg
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 lb bacon
BBQ sauce
Cheddar cheese slices
4 hamburger buns

In a bowl, mix together ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, egg, and Worcestershire sauce until combined. Form beef into four Patties (Beef always shrinks when cooked, so make sure to make the patties slightly larger than your hamburger bun); set aside. Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp.

Meanwhile, grill the hamburgers. I use my George Foreman but you can grill it on a grill pan on the stove or on your grill outside. When done, top each burger with sliced cheddar cheese and place in a warm oven to melt the cheese.

Toast the hamburger buns, top with a hamburger patty, sliced bacon, and top with BBQ sauce. Serves: 4.

* I also really like this with winger's sauce in place of the bbq sauce.
